landscape tipLandscape Tip

Doing Your Tree Homework. Do your research before planting a tree next to a building or foundation. Trees with shallow roots, such as Bradford Pears, can cause considerable damage by pushing against concrete foundations, sidewalks or driveways. They can also draw moisture from shallow depths, which can lead to ground shifting.
